Vernon Rattliff

Mr. Vernon Reed Rattliff of Lexington, Kentucky, son of the late James Rattliff and Estell Dobson Rattliff, was born on March 10, 1930 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at his home in Lexington. He was 81 years, and eight months of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Lexington. He was retired from IBM Corporation as an Engineer in the Typewriter/Computer Division having worked 30 plus years. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army from 1953-1955.
He united in marriage to Donna Allen on November 17, 2010 who survives.
Other survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law: Herman and Jewell Rattliff of Campbellsville, and J.W. and Joyce Rattliff of Greensburg; a sister and brother-in-law: Doris and Junior Rodgers of Campbellsville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Rattliff was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister: Wesley Rattliff, Ronnie Rattliff and Willya Cox.

The funeral services for Mr. Vernon Reed Rattliff will be conducted at 12 Noon, Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. DeWayne Walker and Marcus Rodgers will be officiating.
Visitation is requested from 10 A.M. Tuesday until time of the funeral service.
Memorials are suggested to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
