Stella Davis

Mrs. Stella Lewis Davis was born June 14, 1927 in Larue County, KY to the late Coy and Lertie Lewis McCubbin. She departed this life Friday, May 22, 2015 at Sunrise Manor in Hodgenville, KY., having attained the age of eighty-seven years, eleven months and eight days.

Mrs. Davis had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. She was an employee of Fruit of the Loom for fourteen years and was also a homemaker. She was a member of the James L. Pruitt VFW Ladies Auxiliary to Post 5813, Greensburg and was a longtime member of the Summersville Homemakers. She was united in marriage December 24, 1946 to Carl Edward Lewis who preceded her in death September 5, 1975. She was also united in marriage November 7, 1982 to Hubert P. Davis, who preceded her in death February 25, 2010. She is also preceded in death by three brothers: James, Albert and Bobby McCubbin.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Jimmy and Debbie Lewis of Allendale, KY., one daughter and son-in-law: Louise and Billy W. Price of Summersville, KY., and one step son and daughter-in-law: Kerry and Lanetta Davis of Greensburg, KY. She is also survived by one brother: Roy McCubbin of Summersville, KY, two step grandchildren: Lindsey Fields of Greensburg, KY and Kyle Davis of Campbellsville, KY., and four step-great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends.
