Ramona Livesay

Ramona Cox Livesay, 84, of Eubank, Ky., died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at her home.

Daughter of the late David and Norma Osborne Cox, she was born on April 18, 1927, in Green County. A devoted Christian, she was a member of Science Hill Methodist Church. She enjoyed dairy farming and the outdoors. She worked every day alongside her late husband, Joe Livesay. The couple were married in Taylor County in 1946.

Survivors include two sons and their spouses, John and Jayne Livesay and Sam and Jeanette Livesay, both of Eubank; five sisters, Sally Shuffet, Barb Givens, Fanola Upton, Dorothy Givens and Ella May and her husband, Marvin, all of Green County, Ky.; five grandchildren and their spouses, Stewart and Jennifer Livesay of Chicago, Ill., Melanie and Miles Phelps of Lexington, Ky., Matt and Tracey Livesay, Jill and Martin Wheeldon and Logan Livesay, all of Eubank; eight great grandchildren, Morgan, Savannah, Marshall, Lucas, Dekker, Ty, Hagan and Penielle; several nieces and nephews; and five very special caregivers, Bobbie, Justin, Ranck, Suzette Works and Jan Plock.
