Peggy Elmore

Peggy Elmore of Campbellsville, daughter of the late William Shelby Portman and Anna Lee Casey Portman, was born August 16, 1928, in Grayson County, Kentucky. She died at 9:30 P.M., Sunday, October 17, 2010 in Greensburg.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She united in marriage to Mac Elmore July 8, 1950. He preceded her in death August 30, 2000.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Carol Elmore of Campbellsville; two granddaughters, Jessica Browning and husband, Jamie and Vanessa Smith and husband, Jason of Campbellsville; two great-granddaughters: Adrian Browning and Brianna Browning; one brother and two sisters: Robert Portman of Leitchfield, Marietta Wilson of Hodgenville and Catherine Kehne of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
