Opal Hubbard Cave of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Henry E. Hubbard and Reedy Dulworth Hubbard, was born March 14, 1924, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died Thursday, September 23, 2010 in Louisville.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the St. Mark United Methodist Church. She was a mother and homemaker and had been employed at Boeing Aircraft during World War II.
She united in marriage to Lafe Cave May 2, 1942. Besides her husband, Lafe Cave of Campbellsville, she is survived by one daughter and two sons: Wanda Brockman and husband, Donald, Tommy Cave and wife, Renee and Jimmy Cave and wife, Diane of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Donna Lynn Brockman and husband, Stephen Lanham, Deanna Jo Brockman and husband, Chris Soulis, John T. Cave, Allyson S. Cave and husband, Brian Kester and Kelly D. Cave; one great-grandson, Kaden James Cave; one brother and one sister: Clelland Hubbard and Vaniel Romine and husband, Robert of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers: Henrietta Shipp, Geneva Dudgeon, Mary Frances Hourigan, James Walker Hubbard, Harvey Hubbard, Edward Hubbard, and Lewis T. Hubbard.
