Merlin Harrison

Merlin Boyd Harrison of Campbellsville, son of the late Lelan Harrison and Lizzie Ermine Vaughn Harrison was born in Taylor County, Kentucky on March 19, 1926. He died at 9:55 P.M., Wednesday, July 25, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 86
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army achieving the rank of corporal.
He was a retired employee of Tennessee Gas Transmission.
He united in marriage to Lola Mae Beard February 5, 1949. She preceded him in death April 19, 1987.
He was a loving and devoted husband, wonderful father and a good friend.
He is survived by one son and two daughters: Danny Harrison and wife, Elaine of Louisville and Carolyn Walters and husband, Robert, and Judy Harrison of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Robin Michelle Walters of Campbellsville and Danny Boyd Harrison Jr. and wife Ammy of Shelbyville; one great-granddaughter, Meredith Ava Harrison; one brother, Richard Morrison Harrison and wife, Myra of Cincinnati, Ohio; a special niece, Tammie Baumgardner of Campbellsville; several other nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters: Cleston Kemper Harrison MIA in World War II, Charles "Cotton" Harrison, Lawrence Earl Harrison, John "Johnnie" Garnett Harrison, Eunice Sapp and Lois Newcomb.
