Maxine Phillips

Maxine Phillips of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charles W. Gribbins and Virgie Gribbins Greene, was born November 3, 1924 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 2:53 P.M., Sunday, August 21, 2011, in Campbellsville. Age: 86

She united in marriage to Joseph F. Phillips January 6, 1939. He preceded her in death August 26, 1993.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons and their spouses: Randall G. and Pat Phillips of Campbellsville and Darrell and Geraldine Phillips of Louisville; two grandchildren: Tracy Phillips-Gibson and husband, Chip of Shelbyville and Kevin Phillips and wife, Jamie of Campbellsville; four great-grandsons: Robert Gibson, III, Noah Gibson, Mason Phillips and Aidan Phillips; one niece and one nephew: Wanda Cash Perkins of Lebanon and Gerald Bland of Mannsville; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Edwin Bland.
