Mary Helen Rafferty Embry of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late William Dewey Whited and Ina Emaline Kilby Whited, was born in Taylor Co., KY, July 2, 1924. She died on Passover at 3:35amET, Tuesday, March 30, 2010, in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY, at the age of 85 years, 8 months, and 28 days.
She professed faith in Christ at age fourteen and was a charter member of the Campbellsville Baptist Temple.
She had been employed by Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, Metzmeier Nursing Home and Medco Nursing Home.
She united in marriage to Benjamin Anderson Rafferty August 1, 1942. He preceded her in death December 17, 1996.
She united in marriage to Willis Embry who preceded her in death.
She is survived by the following: One son and four daughters: Carroll Rafferty and wife, Betty, Barbara Fitzgerald and husband, Ronnie, Juanita Ford and husband, Donnie, Mary Nell Cox and husband, Dannie and Linda Winfrey, all of Campbellsville, KY, Nineteen grandchildren, Thirty-seven great-grandchildren, Nine great-great-grandchildren,
Also survived by a sister: Elizabeth Sue King of Campbellsville, Ky, a special friend, Nan Rose of Campbellsville, KY, and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister: James Whited, Samuel Whited and Annie Mae DeSpain.
