Marie Shawen

Marie Richerson Shawen of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James Raley Richerson and Lillian Deener Richerson was born February 19, 1933 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 1:18 A.M., Saturday, February 28, 2015 in Louisville. Age: 82
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
She was a former employee of Fruit of The Loom and was an Avon Representative.
Uniting in marriage to James Shawen March 2, 1957, she became an army wife and was therefore able to travel and see the world.
Besides her husband, James Shawen of Campbellsville, she is survived by one daughter and two sons: Darla Shawen Callahan and Greg Shawen of Campbellsville and Gary Shawen and wife Kimberly of Somerset; three grandchildren: Brad Callahan and wife, Renee, Hannah Shawen and Alexander Shawen; three great-grandchildren: Shelby Callahan, Sydney Callahan and Sadie Callahan; one brother, Robert Earl Richerson and wife Nancy of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one brothers and three sisters: William Richerson, Gladys Richerson O'Banion, Alice Richerson and Deronda Richerson.
