Margie Louise Perkins Cook


Mrs. Margie Louise Cook of Shady Grove Community, daughter of the late James Underwood Perkins and Una Verna McCallister Perkins, was born on May 5, 1932 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the Cal Turner Extended Care Center in Scottsville, Kentucky. She was 79 years, seven months and 24 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a homemaker.

She united in marriage to Carl Cook on May 24, 1958 who survives.

Other survivors include six nieces: Betty J. Gentry, Ruth Ann Lile, Bonnie Lou Curry, Kathy Sue Perkins, Connie Perkins all of Green County, and Janice Fay Curry of Edmonton; three sisters-in-law: Pearl Perkins of Green County, Eva Mae Meadows of Monroe, and Mildred Perkins of Horse Cave; four great-nephews; two great-nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Cook was also preceded in death by a sister: Hazel Lowe; three brothers: Odell Perkins, Warren Perkins, and Raywood Perkins; a nephew: Marlon Dale Lowe; and a great-niece: Kerra Curry.

The funeral services for Mrs. Margie Louise Cook will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Monday, January 2, 2012 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Leo Curry will be officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4 until 8 P.M., Sunday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral home and after 7 A.M., Monday until time of the funeral service.
