Margaret Acree

Margaret Acree of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Wilbur K. Smith and Myrtie Pearl Durham Smith, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, September 7, 1927. She died at 6:59 A.M., Thursday, November 25, 2010 in Elizabethtown. Age: 83

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Meadowview Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Garland Odell Acree in December, 1947. He preceded her in death November 3, 1969. She is survived by one daughter and one son: Ann Cox and husband, Butch and Paul "Dick" Acree of Campbellsville; four granddaughters: Lauryn Cox of Campbellsville and Allison Acree, Jennifer Acree, and Elizabeth DiNapoli and husband, Louis of Victor, New York; one sister, Frances Smith of Campbellsville; beloved nephew, Huston "Sonny" Mardis of Campbellsville; several other nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one son, Allen King Acree; two sisters and five brothers: Elizabeth Mardis, Elsie Parson, Richard Smith, Huston Smith, Ralph Smith, Albert Smith, and Ben Smith.
