Malcolm B. (Mack) Gaskins, of Campbellsville, son of the late Alfred Thomas Gaskins and Flora Jane Ashbrook Gaskins was born April 30, 1921 in Adair County, Kentucky. He died at 5:37 P.M., Saturday, July 6, 2013 in Lexington. Age: 92
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Youth Sunday School Teacher.
He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the 8th Air Corps as an aircraft electrician, was a staff sergeant in the European Theater of Operations and served the 329th service squadron specializing in B17 and B24 Bombers at Alconbury Airbase in England 2 ½ years until the war ended in 1945.
His hobbies were amateur radio with call sign WB4MNZ. He enjoyed the friendships he had with other HAM operators. He also enjoyed restoration of antique radios and was quite an expert.
He started Gaskins Heating & Air Conditioning in 1970 after a time of partnership in Central Air Control. He was a very skilled electrician and master plumber. He was also a very skilled sheet metal fabricator which led him into starting the HVAC business which he worked until he retired.
He was a loving father, husband and grandfather and will be truly missed.
He united in marriage to Elma Jane Tarter February 25, 1943. She preceded him in death March 12, 2007.
He is survived by one daughter and one son, Rita J. Smalley and Frank Gaskins and wife Sandy of Campbellsville; six grandchildren: Mack Alan Crabtree and wife, Denise, Shane Crabtree, Tracy Gaskins Thomas and husband, Steven and Curt Gaskins of Campbellsville, Rachelle Smalley Kowle and husband, Ron of Greenwood, Indiana and Ty Smalley of Savannah, Georgia; one great-grandson, Griffin Thomas; one sister, Dorothy Bryant of Fairfield, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister, Morris M. Gaskins and Ama Holt.
VISITATION: 5:00 P.M. - 8P.M. Tuesday

FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the Parrott &
Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Dr. James Jones

BURIAL: Campbellsville Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors by
The Marion County Veterans Honor Guard
