L.C. Estes
Mr. L.C. Estes of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late William Lanis Estes and Alta May England Estes, was born on January 22, 1929 in the Bramlett Area of Green County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 83 years, 9 months, and 13 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was retired Superintendent from the Greensburg Water & Sewer Department having worked with them 48 years. Mr. Estes was also a member of the Green County Historical Society.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth Jeffries Estes of Greensburg.
Other survivors include his children: William Miller of Greensburg, Jayne Allen of Winchester, Vanita Holt of Knoxville, Tennessee, Mary Jo Holloway of Georgetown, Carolyn Ford of Bardstown, Mike Estes of Hodgenville, Sherry Gupton of Campbellsville, and Peggy Sharpe of Greensburg; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother and two sisters: Bobby Estes of Harrodsburg, Evelyn Hortense Bishop of Campbellsville, and Brenda Ford of Louisville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Estes was also preceded in death by two grandchildren: five brothers and two sisters: Herman Estes, Holland Estes, James Estes, Willard Estes, Freddie Estes, Elsie Nunn, and Mary Alice Judd.

The funeral services for Mr. L.C. Estes will be conducted at 12 Noon, Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with entombment to follow in the Greensburg Mausoleum. Dr. Gary Ervin and Bro. Bobby Estes will be officiating.
Visitation is requested from 2 until 8 P.M., Tuesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Wednesday until time of the funeral service.
