Kathryn Bland Smith of Maryville, Tennessee, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ira Grant and Florence Bryant Grant was born February 15, 1922 in Adair County, Kentucky. She died at 2:50 A.M., Saturday, November 10, 2012 in Maryville, Tennessee. Age: 90
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
She was a former employee of Campbellsville Cleaners.
She united in marriage to James Bland December 9, 1939. He preceded her in death April 7, 1958.
She united in marriage to James W. Smith March 22, 1963. He preceded her in death October 9, 2002.
She is survived by two sons: J.T. Bland and wife, Connie of Campbellsville and Michael Bland and wife, Lee Ann of Maryville, Tennessee; seven grandchildren: Craig Bland and wife Maria, Ryan Bland and wife, Kim, David Bland, Christy Shuffett and husband, Scott, Laura Jo Minor and husband Michael, Grant Bland and wife, Kasey and Tyler Bland and wife Nicole; one step-granddaughter, Margie Ross; six great-grandchildren;three step-great-grandchildren;one great-great-grandsonand two brothers, Eugene Grant and Ralph Grant of Indianapolis, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one sister and three brothers: Edna McGaha, James Grant, Marshall Grant and Everett Grant.
