Johnny Newton, son of Melvin "Shorty" Newton and the late Ernestine Keltner Malone, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, December 4, 1963. He died at 1:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 48
He was a former sanitation truck driver.
He united in marriage to Debra Ledford October 20, 1984.
Besides his wife, Debra Newton, he is survived by one son and three daughters: Wendell Reynolds and wife, Bobbie Jo of Green County, Megan Priddy and husband, Donald, Michelle Davis Newton, and Morgan Newton of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren: Michael Priddy, Coty Reynolds, Samantha Ford, Mercy Reynolds, Amy Reynolds, Devin Reynolds, and Arianna Davis Newton; parents, Melvin "Shorty" and Delores Burchett Newton of Campbellsville; five sisters and four brothers: Sissy Leake, Tammy Jo Newton, Kimberly Clark, Janet Altman, Debbie Viers, Roger Malone and Jimmy Malone of Campbellsville, and Dwayne Melson and Tommy Melson of Columbia; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter , Selena Newton.
