Joan Hinton Johnson, age 73, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 in Louisville, Kentucky.
She was a member of Simpsonville Baptist Church and was baptized at Black Gnat.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Josephine Hinton and siblings, Lester, Leon, Margaret, Maryland, Demon, and Charles.
She was survived by son, Terry Johnson (April) of Shelbyville; daughter, Ginger Johnson Van (Jesse) of Shelbyville; and four grandchildren, Mitchell Johnson, Peyton Johnson, Kaelin Van, and Cassidy Van, all of Shelbyville.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Shannon Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Boyd officiating. Visitation is 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A committal service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Simpsonville Baptist Church.
