James Larimore

June 2, 1935 — June 2, 2013

Mr. James Owen Larimore of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Owen Larimore and Beatrice Calhoun Larimore, was born on June 2, 1935 in Green County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville. He was 78 years of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as Elder. He was a retired Salesman, a veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Air Force, Post Commander of the American Legion Rod Lowe Post #124, Past Jaycee President, a member of the Green County Golf Association, was named outstanding fair board member, and a American Cancer Society volunteer.

He united in marriage to Elizabeth Ann Caldwell on June 15, 1956 who preceded him in death on March 15, 2011.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Alan and Rose Larimore of Greensburg, and Tim and Sherri Larimore of Bowling Green; two grandchildren: Allie Larimore of Greensburg, and Kate Larimore of Bowling Green; a great-granddaughter: Abby Grace Yates of Greensburg; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Bettie Jo and Bill Russell of Greensburg, and Bernice and Leland Humphrey of Scottsville; a special friend: Reva Nell Tucker of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral services for Mr. James Owen Larimore will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Kevin Brantley will be officiating. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home are in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Visitation is requested from 4 until 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church and after 7 A.M. Wednesday at the church until time of the funeral service.

Memorials are suggested to the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church Building Fund, or the Charity of Choice, which can be made at the funeral home.
