Ivan Pepper

March 24, 1918 — September 7, 2013

Mr. Ivan E. Pepper of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late Anna Elizabeth Pepper, was born on March 24, 1918 in Green County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 95 years, five months, and 14 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Sand Lick Separate Baptist Church. He was a lifelong farmer, and a Veteran of WWII having served in the United States Army.

He united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Perry in April of 1950 who preceded him in death on September 15, 2002. He later united in marriage to Margaret Mitchell Dowell in January of 2004 who survives.

Other survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Martha Joyce and Edwin McLaurin of Georgia, and Donna and Bobby Rodgers of Campbellsville; a son and daughter-in-law: Ronald and Debbie Pepper of Louisville; step-daughter: Gaylon Neat and her husband Larry of Columbia; two step-sons: Robert Dowell and his wife Joyce of LaGrange, and Jimmy Dowell and his wife Gayle of Campbellsville; a half-brother: Lee Stearman and his wife Eleanor of Elizabethtown; a half sister-in-law: Barbara Stearman of Greensburg; two grandsons: Joshua Ivan McLaurin of Georgia, and Alex Pepper of Campbellsville; several step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral services for Mr. Ivan E. Pepper will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Bro. Ed Loy and Bro. Roger Pepper will be officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4 until 8 P.M., Monday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Tuesday until time of the funeral service.

Memorials are suggested to the Sand Lick Separate Baptist Church, which can be made at the funeral home.
