Howard Bale

February 17, 1922 — July 18, 2012

Mr. Howard V. Bale of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Leon Moss Bale and Lou Ellen Sweeney Bale, was born on February 17, 1922 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill. He was 90 years, five months and one day of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Summersville Baptist Church. He was a farmer and a former State Highway Department Employee. He was a WWII Veteran having served in the United States Army, PFC. He was also a member of the American Legion Rod Lowe Post #124, and the V.F.W. James L. Pruitt Post #5813.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Barbara Jean Hall Bale, who united in marriage on December 2, 1949.

Other survivors include a daughter: Wanda Fay Bale of Greensburg; two sons: Kelly Ray Bale of Greensburg, and Hollis Keith Bale of Campbellsville; a granddaughter: Megan Bale McKinney of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Bale was also preceded in death by two brothers: Finis Bale and Glenn Bale.

The funeral services for Mr. Howard V. Bale will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens with full military honors conducted by the Marion County Veteran's Honor Guard. Bro. Meryl Young and Bro. Irvin Milby will be officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4 until 8 P.M., Friday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Saturday until time of the funeral service.

Memorials are suggested to the American Red Cross, which can be made at the funeral home.
