Helen VanDyke

Helen VanDyke of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Carter Netherland and Olivia "Levia" Smith Netherland was born October 5, 1925 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 9:08 P.M., Friday, February 7, 2014 in Campbellsville. Age: 88

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder and Clerk of the Session.

She was an employee of the Sears Store for many years.

She united in marriage to Chester Gordon VanDyke October 12, 1946. He preceded her in death October 23, 2011.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ike and Laurie VanDyke of Campbellsville; two grandsons: Greg McDonald and wife, Shannon of Campbellsville and DeWayne McDonald and wife, Angela of Lebanon; six great-grandchildren: Jasmine McDonald, Dalton McDonald, Austin Adams, Erin McDonald, Tyler McDonald and Madison McDonald; one great-great- grandson, Mason Keith Arnett; one brother and sister-in-law, James S. and Beulah Netherland of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Wanell VanDyke McDonald, November 7, 2006.
