Mr. George Robert Vetter of Campbellsville, a veteran of the United States Army and the Kentucky National Guard, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington surrounded by his family. He was 74 years, 4 months, and 16 days of age. He was the son of the late George Charles and Linny Mae (Carter) Vetter. Mr. Vetter was an employee at the former Parker-Kalon factory and was a farmer. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.
Mr. Vetter leaves to mourn his passing:
His wife: Judy (Bishop) Vetter of Campbellsville
Two daughters: Lisa Hoosier and husband Daniel, and Tracy Morgan and husband Tommy, all of Campbellsville,
One step-son: Terry Joe King of Mannsville,
One brother: Randall Vetter of Campbellsville,
One step-sister: Darlene Gumm of Summersville,
Twelve grandchildren,
Twenty-four great-grandchildren,
And a host of other family and friends.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Rex Vetter.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Vetter conducted on Monday, October, 20, 2014 at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY 42718 at 11:00 AM.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM until time for the service.
Interment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Military honors will be conducted by the VFW Post 6097
