Gary Milby

July 28, 1957 — January 26, 2020

Mr. Gary Dean Milby of Campbellsville was born on July 28, 1957 to Holland Milby and the late Norman Faye (Collins) Pike. He departed this life on Sunday, January 27, 2020 at his home after a battle with cancer. He was 62 years, 5 months, and 29 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Temple. Mr. Milby was a truck driver, driving as long as his health allowed. He drove most recently for WalMart for 7 years, and had pulled for Super Service for 24 years prior to that. He loved listening to music of all genres, watching races (even driving some as a younger man), but was most passionate about the relationships he built with his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

His wife: Marcia (Thompson) Milby,

His father and stepmother: Holland and Patty (Brown) Milby,

Two children: Adam Milby and fiance Sally, and Karen Campbell and husband William,

Three sisters: Sharon Mills and husband Jeff, Shirley Smith and husband Phillip, and Stephanie Vanmeter and husband James,

One beloved granddaughter: Savannah Milby,

And a host of other family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by three siblings: Cecile Wood, Sharon Wood, and Larry Collins.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Milby on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Jason Keltner will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 29, from 5:00-8:00 PM.
