Exie Shively

Exie Wise Shively of Finley, daughter of the late Kelly Wise and Minnie Wise, was born July 18, 1910, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:35 P.M., Sunday, December 1, 2013, in Lebanon. Age: 103

She professed faith in Christ and was the oldest member of the Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to Gilbert Shively October 31, 1930. He preceded her in death August 23, 1978.

She is survived by three daughters: Barbara Jean Benningfield and husband, Edward "Boss" of Campbellsville, Mary Frances Veatch and husband, David of Finley and Judy Benningfield and husband, Carroll of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Glenn Benningfield, Keith Benningfield, Kelly Carney and husband, Mark of Campbellsville and Donnie Veatch and wife, Beth and Jean Sallee of Finley; one granddaughter-in-law, Judy Benningfield of Campbellsville; sixteen great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; special caregiver, Pat Simpson of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son, William Paul Shively in 1934 in infancy; a grandson, Gary Wayne Benningfield April 20, 2013, one great-grandson, Russell Veatch; and three brothers and two sisters: Omer Wise, Charlie Wise, Lawrence Wise, Alma Brockman and Josie Caulk and one step-brother, Jake Wise.
