Eddie B. Childers of Campbellsville, son of the late Jim Logan Childers and Alta Lou Cox Childers, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, August 30, 1921. He died at 9:22 A.M., Monday, October 31, 2011 in Campbellsville. Age: 90
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Jones Chapel United Methodist Church.
He was retired from the Taylor County Board of Education and a farmer.
He united in marriage to Hallie Herron February 14, 1942.
Besides his wife, Hallie Herron Childers, he is survived by one daughter: Elaine Childers of Campbellsville; one grandson, Darren Childers of Atlanta, Georgia; one daughter-in-law, Brenda Childers of Campbellsville; special friend, Betty Holt of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Chuck Childers May 17, 2002 and one brother and three sisters: James Childers, Tressie Wood, Nona Burress and Nellie Tucker.
