David Adams

David Adams of ElkHorn, son of the late Ruby Adams and Inez Noel Adams, was born July 14, 1939, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 2:00 A.M., Thursday, June 30, 2011 in ElkHorn. Age: 71

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Jones Chapel United Methodist Church.

He was a farmer all his life and a member of the Taylor County Soil Conservation Board of Directors, Dairy Herd Improvement Association, Southeast United Dairy Industry Association, Green River Cattlemen's Association, Taylor County Agricultural Council, Agricultural Development Council, Awarded the Master Conservationist Award, and in 2010 was awarded the Innovation in Agriculture Award by the Campbellsville-Taylor County Chamber of Commerce.

He united in marriage to Sophia Campbell July 29, 1960.

Besides his wife, Sophia Campbell Adams of ElkHorn, he is survived by
a special friend, Clinton Tungate of ElkHorn; and many other relatives and friends.
