(1934 - 2011)
Dalice "Bit" Charlene Skaggs of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Woodruff Hearon and Flora Rucker Hearon, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, January 12, 1934. She died at 1:18 A.M., Monday, October 24, 2011 in Louisville.
Age: 77
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Roberts Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to James W. Skaggs December 23, 1950. He preceded her in death June 1, 1989.
She is survived by two daughters: Deborah Mardis and husband, Terry and Jamia Skaggs of Campbellsville; two grandsons: William Brian Mardis and wife, Dawn and Michael Edward Mardis and wife, Lisa of Campbellsville; five great-grandsons: Austin Blake Mardis, Nathaniel Cole Mardis, Noah Ethan Mardis, William Andrew Mardis, and Joshua Luke Mardis of Campbellsville; two sisters-in-law Aileen Skaggs and Edith Underwood of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters: Charles Hearon, Garland Hearon, Woodruff Hearon Jr., Bobby Hearon, Mabel Smith, Ruth Rucker, Flora Stayton, and Mary St. Clair.
