Mr. Coy Cecil Milby of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Clarence E. Milby and Maggie Judd Milby, was born on July 1, 1918 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at his home. He was 93 years, one month and five days of age.
He united in marriage to Elda McCubbin on December 2, 1939. They were married for 55 years. Mrs. Milby preceded him in death on August 29, 1995.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ. Coy and Elda joined Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church on July 30, 1953. He was ordained a Deacon on August 4, 1957 and was a Sunday School Teacher. He was a lifelong farmer and carpenter. He became a Mason of the William B. Allen Masonic Lodge #704 in Summersville in 1952 and was a lifelong member.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law: Faye Hinton and Donna and Rhuel Bishop all of Greensburg; three grandchildren and spouses: Brian and Sandy Hinton of Campbellsville, Brandy Bishop and Torrell Williams of Greensburg and Lindsey Bishop Gilmore and Jason Gilmore of Chicago; three great-grandchildren: Jordan Clark Hinton of Campbellsville and Kobie Wood and Brooks Wood both of Greensburg; one step-great-grandchild: James Brandon Skaggs of Lexington; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Archie Milby of Magnolia, Cleston Milby of Louisville, and Buford and Bobbie Milby of Glasgow and Velma Milby of Louisville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Milby was also preceded in death by a son-in-law: Charles Hinton; three brothers and a sister: Oliver Milby, Edward Milby, Hershel "Buddy" Milby and Marcella Scott
