Pearl Gumm, age 92, of Campbellsville, died Saturday, February 7, 2015 in Campbellsville.
She was born, Beulah Pearl Melton in Clinton County, Kentucky to the late William McKinley and Vertia Lawhorne Melton on June 2, 1922. She had lived in Campbellsville since 1939 and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Gumm and two sons, Robert Lee and Wesley Alford Gumm.
She is survived by a son, James William Gumm and his wife, Elizabeth, of Kearney, Missouri; a daughter, Sheila Mae Gumm, of Campbellsville, five grandchildren, Carol Jean Brown, Campbellsville, Amy Whitner and her husband David of Kearney, Missouri, Bridgette Jones and her husband, Kim of Campbellsville, Roberta Foster and her husband, Steve of O'Fallon Missouri and Jennifer Perkins and her husband, Tony of Overland Park, Kansas; eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 11th at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Bro. Shaun Caudill officiating. Burial will follow at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be David Whitner, Steve Foster, Tony Perkins, Josh Simpson, Ryan Sears and Kim Jones.
The family requests visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 10th at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.
