Betty Hatfield of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Merle Ewalt Arp and Helen Sparks, was born March 1, 1939, in Tazewell County, Virginia. She died at 10:42 P.M., Monday, July 18, 2011 in Louisville. Age: 72

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Campbellsville University.

She united in marriage to Rev. James L. Hatfield May 13, 1956. He preceded her in death August 1, 2009.

She is survived by two sons: Jimmy Hatfield and wife, Julie of Columbia, Tennessee and Jeff Hatfield and wife, Renee of Worcester, Massachusetts; five grandchildren: Andrea Hatfield of Lexington, Nathan Hatfield and Curtis Hatfield of Columbia, Tennessee and Aria Hatfield and Tyler Hatfield of Worcester, Massachusetts; three brothers and four sisters: A. B. Cook and wife, Glenda, Henry Cook and wife, Lorie and Laura Sexton of High Point, North Carolina, Thomas Cook and wife, Sharon of Greensboro, North Carolina, Patrice Wright and husband, Clint of Flint, Michigan, Linda Murdick of Midland, Michigan and Mary Greenwalt and husband, Gerry of Woodbridge, Virginia; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
